What would New York be without its famous Jazz sessions?

London, Paris and Amsterdam have vibrant music scenes with numerous options to see live jazz. Improvised, unrehearsed Jazz sessions are part of social life. Cologne, on the other hand, has never really developed a strong session culture.

The Orange Sunday Session was created by guitarist Oliver Doering who has jammed in Jazz clubs around the world from Sydney to Mexico: The idea was to offer a platform for musicians to play improvised music in changing combinations of players and a fun venue for the audience to enjoy the spontaneous musical adventures.
